Thermotherapy is the term for cold and heat therapy, depending from which physical medium is used. Thermotherapy is providing or receiving thermal energy body. The thermotherapy terms are used thermotherapy and treatment with cold, which very often is replaced by the concept of cryotherapy.

Therapeutic effects of application of heat and cold are different. But they lead to a reduction of pain, muscle relaxation, the inhibition of inflammatory processes. The acute reactions can be treated with cold, and cases of inflammatory processes should be treated with heat.

In the cases of rheumatoid arthritis during treatment, we can  use  heat and cold. Such treatments lead to a reduction in pain,  muscle relaxation, and the inhibition of inflammatory processes. The indications for application of heat are: t chronic inflammation, various injuries of muscle, or paresis,. Heat treatment is effective in diseases: rheumatic and musculoskeletal (bruises, hematoma, soft tissue injuries, post-traumatic ligaments and handbags joint, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing arthritis), cutaneous, respiratory, cardiovascular, metabolic problems ,issues  urinary and  digestive system.
