Grilled peppers stuffed with cheese

Posted: August 31st, 2012 | Author: | BBQ

Ingredients: 10 colour pepper pods, hard cheese and mozzarella cheese cut into cubes, 10 slices of bacon, salt and pepper.

Wash and thoroughly dry peppers. Cut a long hole on the side of peppers to clean the interior of the pod and stuff them. Season vegetables with pepper and stuff them with cheese, which can be enriched by other ingredients such as rice and chopped meat or sausage. The pods must be wrapped in slices of bacon and fasten with a toothpick. Grill them on a well-heated grill for about ten minutes, turning them from side to side. Be careful and prevent cheese from dripping out of peppers. Remove the toothpicks before serving the peppers.

You can also roast the peppers in a very hot oven. Or even fry or stew them in a pan with a mixture of herbs or rice and mushrooms, for example, champignons.
