Removing urine stains

Posted: January 1st, 2013 | Author: | Stains

Urine stains are a problem of parents of young children as well as those dealing with persons with disabilities.

To remove them, you can sprinkle the stain with table salt and leave for an hour. Then rinse the fabric in cold water. You can also use a diluted Perchlorate and then wash the fabric in water with washing powder.

Stains on natural fabrics ,such as linen and cotton, can be cleaned with diluted ammonia or citric acid diluted with water. After the procedure, wash the material traditionally. Wipe urine stains on silk and wool with  a swab saturated with dilute ammonia and then quickly wipe with diluted vinegar. Rinse with clean water.
