Removing stains from potassium permanganate

Posted: December 31st, 2012 | Author: | Stains

Stains from potassium permanganate are very visible on fabrics and hard to remove. Therefore, you should remove them before they become dry. Ammonia will come in handy for their removal.

Add a few drops of water to ammonia, so as to form a thick mixture. Cover the spot carefully and leave it for a few minutes.

Then remove the paste with your hands or a brush. Rinse the stain with warm water. If you have liquid ammonia you can smear the stain with it and rinse after a few minutes. If the stain is still visible repeat all the steps. Then wash the fabric in water with a detergent.
