Removing mold stains

Mold stains should be removed as soon as you discover them. The older the stain is, the more difficult it is to remove it.

Grease the fabric with boric acid or kerosene. After a few minutes, rinse with warm water and wash with washing powder. Fresh stains can be wiped with a cotton ball soaked in denatured alcohol.

After this, rinse the material with warm water. Repeat this several times. Mold stains on white underwear should be soaked for a few minutes in boiling milk. After that, remove the cloth and rinse with plenty of cold water. The procedure can be repeated until the stain disappears. Then the fabric is washed.
