Stains on fabric upholstery – removal

Posted: January 1st, 2013 | Author: | Stains

Removing the stains from fabric upholstery depends on the type of material on which they arise.

If the upholstery is covered in plastic, then wash the stains away with warm water and vinegar. When the material dries, polish the stain with a creamed cloth. The cream cannot be greasy. If the upholstery is fabric, then begin stain removal from beating the entire piece of furniture with a damp cheesecloth. The next step is cleaning with a brush soaked in water and ammonia. Add two tablespoons of ammonia per gallon of water. You can also use a solution of vinegar, instead of ammonia.
