Ink stains formed on smooth, dyed leather should be removed with a special detergent for colored leather surface.

It can, however, remove the protective layer of the leather and therefore requires the imposition of a new layer of fixative to the leather. Aniline or crude leather are not penetrated with ink. The stain should not be cleaned because it will make it bigger. Apply toning dye instead. Before you remove stains from your leather jacket, test it in an inconspicuous place. Even a special agent can cause leather discoloration. So in that case it is better to hand it over to the care of a professional.
