Removing stains from oil paints and varnish

During a renovation clothes are easily tainted with oil paint or varnish.

You should remove such stains immediately. After drying they will be much more difficult to remove. Stain from oil paints and varnish first needs to be cleaned from the layers of paint. Scrape off as much as you can. Do it gently with a knife, so as not to damage the fabric. The next step is soaking the fabric with a stain in gasoline. Wait until the remaining paint dissolves. Then wash the stain with pure gasoline. A yellow marking may remain around the removed patches. To remove it, wipe it with a cotton ball soaked in oxidized water.
