Removing resin stains

Posted: December 31st, 2012 | Author: | Stains

Resin stains can be removed with French turpentine. Soak a cotton swab in it, and then apply it to the stain. Do this several times.

After the stain disappears, wash the material with water and washing powder. This should remove a layer of turpentine from the material. The resin stains can be removed similarly like tar stains. However, you shouldn’t use a knife to scrub them.
Smear the material with butter and leave it for an hour. You do not have to wait all night. This is followed by washing with a mixture of ammonia and salt. Take four tablespoons of ammonia and one tablespoon of salt. After the procedure, wash in warm water with soap or detergent.
