The grilled meat of snails is an excellent appetizer. Grilled snails may be eaten with garlic-herb butter.

Before grilling snails have to be cooked for 5 minutes in water with 5% vinegar to be cleaned. Then snails should be drained and cooled down; next, meat should be taken out of shells with a small fork. Snail meat should be cooked in a broth until gets tender. Later, you have several ways to prepare them. You can put cooked snail meat into shells, and their ends can be filled with herbal butter stuffing, wrapped in aluminium foil and grilled.

Snail meat alone can also be grilled in aluminium foil with herbs and butter. Snail meat is lean and has a lot of protein, magnesium, calcium, copper, zinc, selenium and iodine. Snails with mushroom stuffing taste great. Fried or stewed champignons with onion, garlic, and yellow pepper are delicious side for grilled snails.
