How to clean the RTV?

Electronic equipment attracts dust and dirt like a magnet. Wiping them with a plain cloth is not effective and can even be harmful to LCD and plasma screens. It is worth using microfiber cloths or special non-woven cloths with antistatic fluids.

Plastic casing can be cleaned with micro-fiber finery and grilles can be swept with a brush, vacuumed with soft brushes attached to the vacuum cleaner. Note! Do not use window washing liquids or paper towels. You must not sprinkle the cleaned surface, but the cloth. In order to clean the matrix you shouldn’t use any greasy cleaning products or strong preparations.

All caustic products, such as alcohols, dissolving agents, acetone, or petrol, can cause permanent damage. The manufacturer often provides cleaning cloths to its products. Cleaning products designed especially for this kind of equipment are recommended. Those are products intended for cleaning and protecting electric devices. They can be bought in every electronic store.

When cleaning LCD screens, follow the steps below:

  • The screen should be cold. If it was turned on, turn it off and let it cool for 15 minutes;
  • You need to wash it with a soft cloth, such as flannel, or Microfiber;
  • When cleaning do not spray liquid on the screen, and you need to dampen the cloth with a cleaning agent or water;
  • Cloth should be moist, not wet, it cannot drip liquid, or water;
  • While cleaning you need to do careful, gentle, circular movements without touching the screen;
  • Before turning the equipment on, you should wipe the screen again to dry it with a clean cloth.
