For cleaning colored, plastic fittings you should only use mild cleansers, but never alcohol or vinegar, because plastic is getting rough under their influence.

The perfect solution for cleaning baths, footbaths, sinks or bidets are chemicals or gels which are used for degreasing and descaling, to remove rust from bathroom fittings, or objects covered with colored enamel based on synthetic resin, such as Pergamum or cobalt. Before you use any product, test it on an inconspicuous place and see what the effect is. If the effect is proper, you can proceed to the next step. For washing and cleaning you need to use a small amount of detergent applied to a damp sponge or cloth, then rinse well and wipe with a cotton cloth.

To eliminate stains you need to leave the detergent for 5 minutes and then rinse it. Note: you need to choose appropriate products that will not damage enamel or acid-sensitive surfaces. Only soft cloths, sponges or towels should be used for cleaning fittings. Do not use scrubbing brushes or sponges. Cream cleaners or any other products that have a scrubbing effect should not be used for this purpose, as they may create scratches on the surface of the fittings.

Kitchen and bathroom fittings require proper care, as they are delicate. If they are not cleaned or maintained properly, smudges, scratches or other damages may occur. In that case you will be forced to buy a new faucet, but it can turn out rather expensive. A good quality faucet with a proper warranty might cost around PLN 200 or even more.
