How to clean a barbeque effectively?

If we want to avoid problems with scouring the barbecue’s grate, it should be properly secured before grilling. The best way is to put an aluminium tray or aluminium foil spiked with fork or knife on the grate.

The tray before placing titbits on should be smeared with butter or olive oil. It protects grill – food and grease will not adhere directly to the grate, and dishes will be tastier this way. But if the grate is already dirty, you can use several cleaning methods. One of them is wiping the grate with wipes or toilet paper immediately after grilling. When the grill has cooled down or grilling has come to an end, put the grate away. Such method allows cleaning the barbecue’s surface relatively easy. Other parts should be wiped with a damp cloth with a bit of a liquid for washing greasy surfaces, used to wash dishes in the kitchen. You can also use a special detergent for barbeques.
